Calling all (any?) Active Isobarik nutcases out there!!

You could use an Exaktbox - they have PMS Isobarik filters available for them. The 6 channel Akurate version is £6k though. Linn Exakt

Linn Isobariks - replacing the mid and bass drivers with Falcon units

The original Kef spec sheets quote a sensitivity pink noise input for 96dB @ 1 metre on axis 12.5 volts RMS for the SP1003 versus 11.2 volts RMS for the SP1057. Maybe worth increasing the midrange level?

    Chinese Scanspeak?

Sent the eBay links to Scanspeak, doubt anything will happen about it.

    Chinese Scanspeak?

Yes, they're the ones. I think they've come from Alibaba.

    Chinese Scanspeak?

Made in China for only £210 new? R2904

Linn Isobariks - replacing the mid and bass drivers with Falcon units

Christopher Connolly-Marsh on the Facebook Linn owners group had some keltik gaskets made up, not sure if these fit isobariks, but they fit falcon B139's in keltiks.

    Unusual speakers

This would be a brilliant idea if they sound good.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

Had good memories of my isobariks with active nap250s I had back in the 90's, hence the choice. Just wish they'd have better detail in the mid/treble.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

I've got REW on my PC, a UMIK and I'm going to be using a minidsp flex8 with dirac. So hopefully that'll be okay to measure, equalize and correct phase.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

Got the Scanspeak R2904 s/h as well - trying to keep the cost reasonable - hence the B139s

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

Was going to use the B139's in an isobaric configuration.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

I was looking at crossing at 200hz and 2750hz.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

I'd seen some s/h W15CY001 for sale, wasn't looking at spending over £500 on mids.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

Good suggestions. I had read about the Seas breakup at high frequency, with the Scanspeaks needing a high crossover point themselves (around 2750hz) it's probably best to go with something better behaved at higher frequencies.

SB acoustics 15CAC or Seas W15?

I'm currently building a 3 way speaker and was unsure what midrange to go for. Tweeter is Scanspeak R2904/70005, bass is Kef B139. I was thinking of using either the SB acoustics SB15CAC30 or the Seas W15CY001. I'm using a minidsp flex8 as a crossover.
