An LP12. Recently succumbed and picked one up on eBay. I really quite enjoy it (an ‘86 with RB300 and 2M blue), but very different to my Gyro SE

Really enjoy my Plinius Hiato. I would never have bought one new, but a 3 year old one at a quarter of it’s retail brought it into budget to replace a Roksan Kandy.

Pete’s pylons - I could never get the bounce right on my Gyro SE, so gave up and got the pylons a few months ago. Basically fit and forget!

An LP12, an ‘86 with I think an RB330 and A&R P77. I want to see what all the fuss is about. It’s in immaculate cosmetic condition, has been stored for a while so needs new oil and belt and possibly springs (the arm base doesn’t have much clearance from the plinth corner bracing). Turntable...

It's less than that, more like 210mm. Thorens arms tend to be 215mm, so probably not for one of those.

I've just picked up an old Thorens TD160B Mkii. It has an armboard but no arm fitted, and I wanted to identify the armboard. The mounting hole is pretty much central, and 20mm diameter. I suspect this is for a Thorens TP arm, but an not sure. Please can anyone help? Thanks Ian

Excellent, thanks. The plan is to go for the Stylus 20 plus a 5E cartridge. The arm is a Series II improved, i.e. fixed headshell

Does anyone know for sure if the cartridge body for the OM5E is identical in all ways to the OM10/20/30 etc? I know it's physically the same, but does it have the same internals? I'm looking for a high compliance cartridge to use on an SME 3009, and the OM20 is mentioned a fair bit. It's NLA...
