I quickly compared it to my set up - NDX/Nac282/HiCap/Nap250 and although the Naim was ahead in most areas when our retirement move occurs in a few years time it’s certainly a one boxer that is going to be right at the top of my list.

On a hard surface such as tiles, wood, laminate or in a unit (that’s where my SVS sub lives) you need to lift slightly to enable attached item to slide. I would imagine on carpet they will slide slightly easier.

They are much squishier than the hockey pucks I have used in the past on other non audio projects (on the top of axle stands whilst supporting a car renovation job)

And if they don’t work then resale prices are strong.

I use them under an SVS sub in an AV system. Big improvement with unwanted room interaction - massive reduction in buzzes and rattles.

Never been the same since Spearmint Rhinos closed down…….

It’s always best to have the latest software, my fairly recently purchased NDX was/is up to date so no need for an update here, but I feel your pain regards updating the software. Failing to secure the help of a local computer bod do you have a relationship with a local Naim dealer? If so...

Are you sure it needs updating? To check:- 1 - Go to “Set up” ( press spanner on remote) 2 - When in “Set Up“ scroll down to “Factory Settings” and press ok on remote 3 - When in “Factory Settings” select “System Status” (press ok on remote) 4 - When in “System Status” Scroll down about 27...

Might be worth taking the free month and seeing if it works.

A lot depends on your setup. I am able to do that using a Naim streamer and Naim app on an iPad
