    CD Turntable Design

There was a 47 Labs player years ago, but of course it was silly money. Possibly others too. This is a nifty all in one that will bring a more affordable (for now at least) form of media back to the kids. I know my daughter would probably love one.

    CD Turntable Design

I hope this gets into production, its an interesting idea and deserves to IMO: https://darko.audio/2024/03/the-vivia-is-a-cd-player-that-behaves-like-a-turntable/

    Lp12 vs gyro

In all seriousness, the Gyro is probably the better deck as it stands, as the Rega arm is much better than the weak LVX on the Linn, assuming the Rega is in good condition. I and others use a Rega arm on a Linn and it works well. Not sure what you mean by a ‘late’ LP12 though, would be good...

    Lp12 vs gyro

Honestly, I would sell them both and get something like this: https://www.homestoreandmore.ie/baking-tools-cake-decorating/tala-icing-bags-6-nozzles-scraper-and-brush/079805.html?variantId=079805 You'll find these far easier to use ;-)

    Pandora's Box- CDP?

I would only consider a CD Player now if you like collecting the media itself, which I can understand is a thing. However, SQ differences I believe are very small now at a similar price point, which wasn't the case only a few years ago, CD won everytime for me. I left CD replay last year and...

Audio Sound Quality and Dacs resolution and cd quality

There is a lot of praise for 90s DACs out there. Generally they don't have the detail retrieval of more recent ones and obviously don't process higher resolution file formats, but at CD quality many people swear by them. I particularly enjoyed Theta DACs when I tried them. A very bold, thick...

Your Best Audio System Upgrade of 2023?

Apologies, I have only just seen this. I certainly hear more detail, notes appear to be more defined, especially the start of the notes. Also, the music appears to be more 'alive', 'real', 'in the room'. Overall, it certainly holds my interest more. As I think I mentioned, if someone comes...

    Naim

I’d say usually £400 for each box, perhaps a little more if serviced. I get the impression these were never serviced. Looks fairy genuine to me, just not a great ad from a person who probably isn’t that into HiFi. Or it could be nicked!

    Offline Music Player/Platform

Don’t know much about them, so don’t take my word for it, but I have read that early Linn and Naim streamers are still good at streaming your own offline content. Cheap now due to their not so great online streaming apps. They had plenty of R&D put into them at the time.
