The Good Guys: Seller Feedback (Part III)

I would just like to thank "kimmiles" for a pleasant transaction and some very nice interconnects. I'm looking forward to hearing them later this week. Kim, sent the cables immediately, signed for and provided a hassle free, peace of mind transaction. Thanks.

    Wait a minute...............

And I thought Ivor was forward thinking !!!! If you scroll to the 14 minute marker and watch from there, then I think we may be listening to the idea of the worlds first NAS/hard disk DS . This is 1974 btw!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PN6puH9DYnQ

At last... (Audiolab) - part II

I had a good listen to the 8200CD at the beginning of December there, in the UK! I was really impressed with it, i must say, enough so I'm waiting patiently on the 8200DQ to appear, without the cd transport, hopefully it'll be a good price! The question is when will it arrive hahaha, i really...

Guys, I'm overwhelmed with the response here! I felt I hadn't acknowledged your comments so I'm doing so now and value them very much. I will need to return here in the new year i feel. Cheers. G

    Naim amps and balanced outputs

Thanks for the information Mike! I'd say next lifetime btw....;) I'll maybe get into this in the future, who knows?, I'd like to! When I have some time on my hands and money to burn...pft! I appreciate your help and your comments. Oh, I had a listen to that Audiolab 8200CD today and...

    Naim amps and balanced outputs

Yeah OK, I'm probably thinking on the Naim kinda scheme of things. Do their amps not increase in power with price? I guess they will increase in SQ too... but is that not in line with being able to connect better PSU's ? + I do like Naim amps! My upgrade concern for the minute is...

    Naim amps and balanced outputs

Yeah, definitely! but that's quite a bit further in the future for me I think! I don't require more power or volume than I have. I'd always be looking for better SQ. Cheers.

    Naim amps and balanced outputs

hahaha, I like it! Well, if I knew what they were, then maybe I'd be inclined to agree :) I toyed with the idea of building a psu for the nac112 and my existing vdac, this led me to buying 3x STR pcb's, the jfets and the caps from teddys site. Starting a parts list for farnell etc etc...

    Naim amps and balanced outputs

Thanks for the quick replies! Yeah I'd probably just go 2 x RCA/phone to 4pin din in that case, flashback do one! It was really a SQ issue, if there were to be a noticeable benefit from the xlr outs then I'd want to use it but it's not the be all and end all I don't think. I believe Naim...

    Naim amps and balanced outputs

I kinda wondered how to phrase the title there as I have a few questions for the people in the know. I have a Nap 150 Power amp. I am wondering if I can use a cable that would allow me to make use of the xlr balanced outs, of a dac/pre, to the 4 pin din on my power amp. Does this work with...

    A generic rectifier/smoothing PCB

hi guys, i was wondering if there's any of these boards still floating around?? I'd be after a minimum of two. (for a pre amp psu and a dac psu) I've been over to the new link, but it seems it's geared up more for amps, so i thought I'd post here. forgive me if i've missed something or there's...

    Howto: TeddyCap

Any chance someone could point me to a suitable transformer...? I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for, I know a 50Va C core is the ticket, but it's the output voltage and current rating I'm unsure about....any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
