I needed to take the pre amp out into a Dirac room equaliser and then take the power amp feed from the Dirac unit back into the power section of the Supernait 2.
The only way to do that is to use the Flatcap so I don’t really need it to power the preamp section only to allow me to insert the...
I am currently using a Naim Supernait 2 with a Flatcap 2X, the reason for this is that I use an external Dirac device for room equalisation.
Can I disconnect the 24V line from the 5 pin snaic and either take the 24V feed from aux 2 or am I correct that the NC pin on the power amp socket should...
I have a Flatcap 2X being used to take audio out of a Supernait 2 and into a Dirac live room correction thing and then back into the Supernait 2. It would probably sound better if there was a way to leave the 5 and 4 pin Dins in place but still power the preamp section from the Supernait supply...
I have a Naim 72 preamp with a Supercap.
The Naim 72 has the Ryan Sound Lab cards which I think are amazing.
Has anyone spilt the supply tracks to allow the 72 to use more of the Supercap outlets by powering each card separately perhaps using a 10 pin Hirose connector.
Any thought...
Ah, I have to correct my satisfaction with the Rothwells as they are directional and are supposed to be at the end of the cable with the DAC i.e. input, not output as that affects the sound and teh level attenuation. So they are returned and I have gone with a pair of BNC attenuated cables from...
The Rothwells arrived, next day delivery so at least the postal service is back to normal. -20Db seems to be perfect and the difference between the two inputs is negligible. Thanks all. I hope my question is useful to others
I have a Naim NAC 72 and am only using two inputs, Phono using the Naim MM boards and DAC using phono sockets input via a pair of 326 line cards.
The DAC has a fixed output.
At the volume control of 9 o’clock the volume of the DAC is the same as the phono input with the volume at 12o’clock.
Two...
Thanks all for your replies. I see there are some companies selling new dimes for the tweeters which I am keen to explore as work out a lot cheaper, however I haven’t figured out how to open the tweeters.
