It is the upgrade price for any KDS. The earlier models will need to be upgraded at the factory. I believe it’s 2&3 are a dealer fit. D

There is a thread running on the Naim forum at the moment, on just this. I believe chap has 552/500 and has a home dem of the 025. Might be worthwhile having a look. D

Would tend to agree with you, but it is perhaps a bit of a nod to his early years in the Deep South. I recall one particular gig, when he overlaid and harmonised live, building the song as he went. Pretty impressive. D

Might be above your budget, but a Gen 1 Naim Mu so could be an option. I use one in our cabin, linked to a tv and it’s surprisingly good. D

From what you say, engine wise, you are talking about the current SL R231? D
