Try looking for the Dynaudio audience 42(W), front ported and designed to be hung on the wall, excellent sounding too. Dynaudio also did a special edition speaker called the Micron (pretty rare to find though) which was also a wall hanger, using their high end drivers it produced really superb...

A good point about perceived value/excessive margins, but as much as I was impressed by the £1800 Hugo2 I ended up buying a second hand Audio Note DAC for similar money and that sounds better still imho.

I had a Hugo2 on loan, it is a pretty irritating thing to use with its daft confusing array of colours, really wanted to not like it but from the first moment I listened to it I was hooked, it has wonderful open detailed sound thats up there with the very best. Sadly the Naim dacs don't come...

Look out for a Yamaha CT7000, regarded as one of the best tuners ever made, with great retro looks & amazing build quality but pretty rare (I own 2 of them).

A good friend owns a Unison Research Secondo integrated, what do I think of it? in a word... brilliant! Has a sweet refined sound as a good valve amp with the low end punch of a ss amp, best of both worlds imho.

Thats a bit of a bummer, the old Yammies are normally pretty bomb proof (I've got half a dozen Yamaha amps/receivers) never had problems with any of them. Hope its an easy fix.

Would be good idea, could we include the BBC in that too?
