I had a CD5 / Nait 5 / Intro 2 system for a few years that was excellent. It engaged me in a way that my previous Linn gear never had and the speakers (in that context) bore no relation to the descriptions I read.

Listening to a Rega Isis/Osiris through a pair at the moment. I have heard them sound completely gutless with (lesser powered) Naim amps, but this combination is very good indeed.

I ordered £250 worth of clothing from a Spanish company in July. It was fully tracked and DPD scanned it on a weekly basis while holding it at their Birmingham depot; they wouldn’t deliver it because there was some issue with the documentation. They kept saying that they were going to return it...

I used Intro 2s with a CD5 and Nait 5 for a few years and really enjoyed them. They bore no resemblance to the damning descriptions I’ve read so often.

John - please keep us updated as to bass tightness as the drivers settle down.

I’m reviving this thread because I’d like to update the bass drivers on my Mark 1s (the tweeters are the current spec) I’ve found a cabinet maker to do the routing but, but I have no electrical knowledge or abilities. Is there any soldering involved with just the bass unit replacement?

Bought a phone from Dicy - a very easy, hassle-free transaction and an excellent phone.

For the record, Pear Audio will replace the bass units on the Compass with new (larger) units used in the Compass 2 for £500. The units themselves cost £160 or so.

Thanks for that. I think the mark 2s have a new bass driver too. Not brave enough to update them myself - they’d need to go to Pear Audio

Gary - have you had your Compassses updated to the mark 2 version? If so, is it worth the hassle and money?

My partner has been selling some stuff on eBay recently (not hi-fi) and the messaging system doesn’t appear to be working properly; queries have started appearing that were sent several days before, along with angry follow-ups asking why she hadn’t responded.

Hello all I can't see where I've gone wrong here. I've connected a blu-ray player to a Fiio DAC via coax and the DAC to my amp via RCA but can't get any sound from it. Any ideas where there may be a problem here please?
