Nikko have responded to my 3rd email and insist the BUV20 are "guaranteed genuine" despite the email from ST Electronics who make them who say they are not. However, Nikko have agreed to a complete refund including postage return costs on return of the transistors which I think deserves a pat on...

Bad news I am afraid ST Electronics have confirmed by email today that these BUV20 transistors are NOT GENUINE. Still no word from NIKKO in response to my email.

I have just emailed Nikko Electronics and asked them if they can authenticate the BUV20's or the supplier. If not then I suggest we all return them. Paypal should help given the circumstances or because of the distance selling rules.

Bit late for me, got mine in this mornings post. According to the spec sheet at Farnell the pins should be 1.47 to 1.60mm thick mine seem much thinner. Passes the ink test though. I was thinking also of the voltage differences between the transformers for the NCC2000 and the VBE in specifying the caps. Also given the number of caps involved surely someone could organise a group buy for the best ? Kendeil ?
