I’m sure this is probably a daft question, so forgive my ignorance, but how would you connect a sub to an amplifier? Do you need an amp with a specific sub-out connection? My 20 year-old Musical Fidelity amp certainly doesn’t have any such thing.

I always keep the original sleeve if anything meaningful is printed on it.

They both look pretty genuine to me. On closer inspection one appears more ‘looked after’ than the other so I’m thinking I’ve somehow acquired my elder son’s copy which probably dates back to his time at university 😉

To be honest I can’t remember the last time I played the CDs in question, so I can’t be sure that they were OK on the Arcam in recent times. I’ll take them to my son’s place and try them out on his player.

I have three Touches and a Radio. Can’t imagine my audio life without them.

But would the laser mechanism replacement cause the problem described? Or are you suggesting that something else was disturbed during the repair? It’s been in use for a good 8 months since the laser mechanism was changed so I would have thought that unlikely to be honest.
