They are sisters that came from our local animal sanctuary. Ziggy is the stripy tabby, and rebel is black and white one with the unfathomably large floof of a tail.
Started venturing outside a couple of weeks ago, here they are with DonutNonuts keeping an eye on them in the back garden.
I had a fully working RM 380Z with Dual 5 1/4 " FDDs that I donated to the computer museum at Bletchley Park many years ago. I worked there (RM) for nearly 20 years from 1993. The 380Z came back to us from a teaching hospital in Southampton IIRC, they wondered if we wanted it for our little...
Love all the movies to be fair and take them all on their own merit. If I had to pick a fave its the extended cut of A3.
Pretty much an avid horror fan and especially love the the 70/80s Italian Slasher/Giallo flicks from the likes of Argento, Fulci and Bava.
I have a soft spot for sci fi horror...
Do like the Akasa kit, lovely bunch to work with as well - in my previous work incarnation I used to buy around 60k heatsinks from them a year. They were always very friendly, best noodles this side of Wembley ;-)
Sold the little i3 I built up for RoonRock a while ago as I run it on my NAS these...
Oh, right, yeah, there's a few TT out there that have a built in phono stage, as mentioned, they are "mostly" MM.
As mentioned earlier in the thread - can you not identify the TT or the cartridge - then you'll get an answer straight away.
Heh.... It is 500g so about 20 miles of solder per reel ;-) I think since RoHS they've been sneaking lead solder up in price whenever they get a chance.
RS555-235 is my go to flavour du jour for most jobs - just out of habit I guess and what I'm used to. 183°C melting point - so kinder to plugs and things mounted in plastic if you're not a seasoned metal melter. As Jez sez you can't really go wrong with any old 60/40 for daily use. A little OTT...
Unfortunately the manual states "Mains switch : Use the mains switch to turn the Linear on and off.", tis regrettable that it's located on the back, but this is the price to pay for precision German design and engineering.
If you reveal what make and model of TT it is, that might be a tadge easier to deduct !
Speaking with my Pro-Ject cap on - they don't make or have made any TT with a built in MC Phono Stage, only MM.
To be honest I've never seen any TT with an MC Phono Stage (not to say there aren't any out there).
