Poll: will you take the NHS Covid vaccine if offered it?

I get all that. Read what I typed. I keep myself healthy, I pay for full blood tests to keep a Check on my health, always a hand washer, etc By doing these things I have been constantly helping those around me. All my vax's are up to date and I have a vax passport. So, all I'm saying is a...

Poll: will you take the NHS Covid vaccine if offered it?

I'm not trying to troll, but being fit and being healthy are 2 different things. I mentioned my Vit d levels being shot. It's been suggested that Vit d levels can be a massive help in protecting against the virus, but it helps against a lot of things, hence why I sorted it out a few years ago...

Poll: will you take the NHS Covid vaccine if offered it?

How do you know he was in peak health, because he kept fit by exercise? FWIW, if I went to the docs, in fact when I go for company medicals I have been and still am told my fitness is on par with a peak 20 odd year old athlete. Usually sit at 9% BF, resting HR of just over 40, etc, blah blah. I...

Poll: will you take the NHS Covid vaccine if offered it?

The point of my post was merely that despite having certain illnesses it's not an immediate death sentence, the 'just saying' was to highlight it was in part jest. I'm also not passing up the the vaccine, but i will do given the chance until it's been proven to be safe after a couple of years...

Poll: will you take the NHS Covid vaccine if offered it?

Wifes grandfather is in his late 80's, had angina for 20 years or so and is in a bad way with dementia. He got the old Cov-19 and all were told to expect the worst, within a week he was right as rain as if he hadn't even had a cold.....just saying! I've had proper flu, put me in hospital wired...

NHS Covid testing - has anyone managed to book one?

Ooof! The private clinic self Swab PCR tests are some money, approx 200 quid a pop, no wonder the govt is being thrifty with them at the moment! FWIW, i think a lot of these private clinics are backed up with getting the results out now due to the amount of companies using them for their...

    Metal

After Riley Gales death i realised i hadn't really given them a thorough listen, so downloaded their stuff and am loving it. Loved the Obituary vibes in the solo's which got me back listening to Obituaries, Cause of Death, after many years - i played that album to death when it was released. For...

    The runners' thread... (part II)

What training do people find yields the best results - eg, reduced injury, better pace times, etc. For example, i find for cycling that polarised training works really well for me, so that means 3 x days of intervals, 2 x days of Long Slow and Steady and 2 x Recovery rides per week. I was...

    The runners' thread... (part II)

Just started running again after about 20 years in July, due to it being the only real exercise available while i quarantine as part of my work abroad. Jeez, it has been a hard road back, as the old leg muscles fairly ache when they are not used to doing something. Never ran at all during August...

covid - shoud I get tested?

My wife is also teacher and a fortnight ago she came down with a scratchy throat and high temperature. She phoned the test centre and explained her position/situation and they advised to pop round straight away and got tested. The 3 kids were with her and they got tested since they were there...

Ebay Problem - What would you do?

I wouldn't have refunded him. He knew exactly what he was getting and was chancing his arm that you were a decent bloke and would give him some cash as it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the description even though it was sold as seen for spares/repair. I recently sold a heap of stuff on Ebay and...

Technics SP10 Repair in the UK?

My SP10 mk2 has decided to play funny buggers. The strobe started working only intermittently, then the speed stuck at what i imagine to be around 78rpm, the speed select switches don't do anything. Can anyone recommend me anywhere/anyone in the UK to contact regarding a repair (Hopefully)please?
