Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

The question I asked myself after ten minutes listening to it in my home was "do I keep a system that cost nineteen times more, had numerous points of failure with all the boxes and wires and took up half as much space as Nevada or is this amazing little box good enough?" My answer was it's...

Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

We've got our Apple TV and the Visio TV it streams to routing sound to our Muso and it's quite surprising filling up a 20' x33' family room with sound nicely. No complaints from family or friends during movie nights - the walls and furniture rattle appropriately during battle scenes.

Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

I could envision an Amazon truck delivering a Muso 2 at our house to replace another Naim rig upstairs ;-)

Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

Agreed...I got tired of chasing the impossible for decades so ordered a Muso from Amazon just to see if it could keep me happy listening to music. My hifi system never got turned back on ;-)

Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

My understanding is Naim has a solution for that now. Originally, they'd swap your your broken unit for a refurb but I believe they can service them in Salisbury now. Just don't quote me on that however ;-)

Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

Agreed...not very clear what he's trying to do. You can redirect sound from various sources into a Muso but you can't send the Muso's output to another device without bodging it. I'd recommend buying something different altogether if that's the case.

Thinking of getting a Naim Muso?

I've had a Muso for several years now and love it! I'm either listening to Internet radio or casting a shared iTunes library of ripped CDs from one of my iMacs using Air Play to my Muso. Frankly, I have absolutely no desire to listen to traditional hifi systems any longer.

    Digital: far too complicated?

KISS process stolen from George years ago: iMac with iTunes library ripped in AIFF, stored on a RAID station and AirPlayed over WiFi to a Naim Muso. No wires, no stands and no sacrifice to the Gods of HiFi required. regards, dave

    Playing with cheap ethernet cables

These cables are recommended and supplied by Eero for their mesh wifi systems. The recommendation actually came direct from Eero's head developer though I'm pretty sure they have Monoprice make custom runs for Eero with no printing on the jacket for that "lifestyle" look...

    Is this all you need?

I downgraded my main rig to an iMac feeding a pair of Air Pods for two years then added in a Naim Muso to the mix just to add a bit of scale and weight to the sound and give us Loud TV™ for movie nights with friends. The other bonus is streaming radio stations from all over the world instead of...

My system is too good, help! :)

Agreed...the sound quality of some of these new all-in-one boxes for example is amazing if they're feed with uncompressed files or even a decent quality FM station. I was shocked to say the least when I switched off audiophile mode and just listened to a favorite tune.

My system is too good, help! :)

Rockmeister, I decided a year or two ago that I was done with hifi for many reasons so spent that time ripping my CDs using the AIFF file format to get the best out of a system that's less "hifi" and stored on an external RAID hard drive connected to one of my Macs and just listened using a...
