Vinyl back on sale at Tesco

I agree Peter, it would seem that digital streaming is succeeding at the expense of CD, in turn a small subset of those people who want a physical copy are buying vinyl. Let's hope that the sales numbers are consistent. Whilst I stream everything I currently listen to, a world where recordings...

    Sending speakers via courier

The distributors ship out to the dealers via courier and indeed the manufacturer to the disti. Don't send anything on a Friday - speakers make great goal posts for depot football at the weekends...

    Sending speakers via courier

I use parcelmonkey.com (I have no affiliation, just a customer) useful as it lets you compare quotes from different companies. I always get the courier picking it up to sign a bit if paper to say its been collected and boxes are in good condition, so if a claim ever arises you have a bit more...

    New Apple TV sound quality

That's generous of you, I'd say is was 100% wrong:D At least the aspect ratio stayed the same with the 7.9" screen so the devs don't have to remake the apps for another size. TBH I'm thinking of picking up a Nexus 7 32GB 3G - for £239 (When they're in stock) it's a bit of a bargain and I...

No-bull digital audio streamer + DAC sought

As a Sonos user I am quite disappointed at the moment, Spotify was a bit rubbish - never connected, bad interface. Now Napster has gone the same way with frequent disconnects, I got a 1 month subscription refund but it's still flaky. Now Last.fm is going to charge as well. Shame as none of...

Best £500 DAC for Naim/Avondale setup

I think everyone would have a bee in their bonnet for the latest thing they've purchased - just human nature I guess. We've all become quite suspicious of viral marketing after a few certain incidents/products which is a shame as enthusiasm is all too often branded as marketing.

Which one do you mean Rich, the VDAC or the more expensive one?

Best £500 DAC for Naim/Avondale setup

I've been trying to do that for some time... hopefully with two of us on the case we can finally crack it! I've even asked Les if he could enable one to take a spdif input but it sounded very complicated!

At last... (Audiolab) - part III

Interested in this myself - specifically for the MDAC though - the ability to connect to a sub and adjust the output crossover level on the MDAC would be great.

At last... (Audiolab) - part III

Hi Duncan, I've got some Dynaudio BM5A monitors at the moment and am very happy indeed with them so far especially given the cost! I'm sure their bigger models would also be very good and worth a try.
