    Free: Heartbreaker.

Worth it just for Koss's guitar on "Come Together in the Morning". Mind blowing.

    Linn Karousel Bearing oil check?.

Take the belt off. Then it should spin for a long time. It won't with the belt connected.

    10cc and Queen

    Interesting. I love both.

    Most impactful LP12 related upgrades

I find the term PRAT even more of a load of cobblers. ( When you stop and think about it.)

    Most impactful LP12 related upgrades

As this is an LP12 thread, the "forward thin and funky" which you identify is not caused by the LP12 imho. I think it is a Naim thing. I run my LP12 though a valve pre and is not forward and thin, anything but in fact and a large soundstage.

    Cartridge Downsizing?

I use a Hana SL and do not want for anything better. I also have a Goldring E3 MM as a back up. Cost me £80. It is remarkable for the money on my LP12/Aro. They have recently released an E4 which has a better stylus and cantilever, and I can upgrade to the E4 by just buying the new stylus. I...

Please Help! LP12 upgrade gone wrong...

Yes, I went 3rd party on the subchassis and arm as well, with great results

Please Help! LP12 upgrade gone wrong...

Just adding my 2p to early posts. I found the Cirkus bearing noticeably brighter than the original bearing. My new Karousel takes it back in the other direction towards the first bearing. My biggest upgrade was getting rid of the cirkus metal sub-chassis and the wooden arm board.

    Linn Krystal?

I think your comment ref Hana Carts is sweeping and misleading. I doubt a Krystal is " a country mile" ahead of the Hana M series and no way better than the Umami series.

Linn Majik sub-chassis vs kore vs Keel

I have just fitted a Stack Alto sub-chassis and Stack Aro arm board, which replaced the original Stack Serene chassis ( with circus bearing and then Karousel), which replaced the Linn Cirkus chassis. I shall do a little write up when I get a minute. Impressed with Stack products, ( and his prices).

Linn Kore vs Stack audio Alto subchassis

I run the original Serene Sub-chassis with a Naim Aro and a Karousel. It is good. I am toying with the ides of moving to the Alto. Could you describe the effect it had when you changed. Is it brighter/leaner etc? Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you. EDIT. Sorry just realised I have...

Linn Kore vs Stack audio Alto subchassis

Can you put into words the difference? I would not want something leaner cleaner and more analytical. Or at least not not by much. The original sub and arm board was only about £300 and probably my biggest LP12 upgrade.

Linn Kore vs Stack audio Alto subchassis

A couple of years ago I swapped out my Cirkus Sub Chassis for the original Stack Sub chassis, keeping, initially, the Cirkus bearing. The increase in resolution was quite surprising. The original Stack Sub was a stiff, dead, composite material. However it sounds great. I would expect the newer...
