Decent, small portable radio for off-grid hut?

Arkless 640P "Dr T Mode"/current input version interest check

I've been using my new transformer from Steve for a while now and must say I am very, VERY pleased. I'm finding improvements in every area, particularly enjoying a lovely soundstage and also the incredible 'grip' it brings to the sound. I was quite happy with the Arkless as originally supplied...

    Nottingham Analogue Dais

Me too. I also use a weight/clamp, I also stop the turntable when changing the LP. The only time I've noticed any speed fluctuation is when I haven't quite got the rotation fast enough, the motor isn't able to get up to speed, I've never noticed it going too fast, so I'm presuming it slows down...

That's interesting, my Dais is "on" when I'm listening to CD's, sometimes for hours. I should change my habits.

    The perfect walk around camera

Hi Steve, it was good to meet you at NEBO 14, I enjoyed my few hours there. You are posing an interesting question regarding a lighter camera, I'm going through the same thinking myself. I still have a Nikon D800E, a brilliant camera which I have had for many years, I think I will be moving it...

    Advice on modern camera's.

Maybe you actually need two cameras, one decent light, compact camera that will always be with you and another with a long lens for your bird watching activities.

    Advice on modern camera's.

This may sound stupid, but the best camera is the one you will actually use long term. There is a temptation to buy a camera too large and heavy which you will soon tire of carrying around.
