What does it mean to you to be English?

Where I come from the attitude has always been “we‘re not English, we‘re scouse“. Having moved to Scotland after Uni and never lived in England thereafter, I consider myself Scottish and very thankful for it. Whats to like about: Abject fealty to the royalty and aristo’s The Tory party Worship...

High end speaker cables from Ali Express

Wireworld and Shunyata are made in the US. Personally I am highly dubious that what you have ordered is OEM. I lived in Asia and previously bought a few things supposedly “out of the back door of the OEM factory”. Invariably they were shit quality. There’s an old expression “if it looks to...

Tory leadership failure Part V: Rishi ‘Infosys’ Sunak

I’ll bet that sunak and his mates bought BAE shares in the last few weeks.

    Climbing the DCS ladder

As a Rossini Apex + clock owner, I have to say that Moon 891 looks a lovely piece of kit and with the analog and phono inputs, a pretty compelling package for digital users still using vinyl. If the sonics are up to snuff, a great product.

    NAS for CD rips..

Orico 4 bay storage unit plugged into my Roon Rock NUC with 3 x 4TB and 1 x 2TB SSDs. Periodically backed up to a 16TB Synology NAS. Works a treat.

    NAS for CD rips..

For 300 CDs I’d strongly suggest ripping to an 2TB SSD and then periodiclly back up to a spinny disc (much cheapness). No need for a NAS

Today I have mainly been v3

Was at The Necks gig in Liverpool last night. Their usual style of free improvising. Amazing, pure alchemy. I bought these at the interval. I asked for them and they told me to ’eff off. Can’t imagine why. 😂
