My wife had three - all owned from new. One Mk1s and two Mk 2.5s. They are huge fun - we have so many great European trips in those cars.
The Mk1 is the one we remember with most fondness.
The DAC will sit between a digital component (streamer, CD player...) and your pre-amp, not between the pre-amp and the speakers.
Apologies if I have completely misunderstood your post!
Thanks for the recommendations in this thread.
Have bought used vinyl copies of both the Average White Band and 10cc live albums and have enjoyed both immensely.
I have some Meridian M2s that I am slowly refurbishing and need to get some new stands for them.
Am I right in thinking these are a little too tall?
I have some original M2 stands but they are early ones and are quite shocking in their lack of rigidity!
I confess that the 'project' has been parked for quite some time.
Next step is to refurbish the cabinets (I'm intending to re-veneer them) and then sort some stands out for them.
As with the post from CHE I too came to the conclusion that I had needs for a van that made a California, much as I'd fallen for one, the wrong answer.
I have a converted Transporter T6. Bought the van as a van and it went through several iterations to end up as it is now as a full camper...
I found that my pair really benefited from bi-wiring.
When I auditioned them I felt the mid-range vocals just sounded constrained - the bi-wiring seemed to remove that and open the sound up.
