For what it's worth, Jeff Day over at Jeff's Place was extremely impressed by, from memory, using a Belden 8402 for digital. and he has some serious Japanese style high-end kit. I might be wrong but seem to recall the tip came from one of the gurus behind SPEC amplifiers. If i'm talking rubbish...

That little Heed/Qutest combo with the Tannoys sounded good. I was less taken by the audio note room but maybe I just wasn’t into the music they played when I visited. Sounded rather diffuse and a bit thin to me

Not true - I have heard the combo in a mid-sized room and it sounded excellent. No shortage of power and oomph - although if you live in a barn it may be a problem, but then you probably wouldn't have ls3/5as anyway
