Adjusting the speed on a Rega P9 if it changes due to the new belt

It’s gone. I contacted Analogue Seduction by email and got nothing helpful. This idea of the slower speed is already on the internet. I was just searching for how to adjust the speed. The full colour reveal was to say I don’t intend anything scurrilous. No malicious intent. Far from it. I’m a...

Adjusting the speed on a Rega P9 if it changes due to the new belt

That’s why I’m probably not even going to attempt it. I’d have to see that it’s easy before even opening the case.

    Name a 'beautiful' amplifier.

Rega Elicit had a nice look to it.

Adjusting the speed on a Rega P9 if it changes due to the new belt

Yes, I do frequent the Hoffman forums. My hope is my odds are better here that someone has had their hands inside one of these. The P9 is such a plug-and-play turntable I don't remember ever seeing anyone discuss any sort of adjustment, upgrade, etc. other than the one fellow who dropped and...

Adjusting the speed on a Rega P9 if it changes due to the new belt

Has anyone here ever adjusted the speed in the power supply unit of a Rega P9 turntable? If so, would a layperson be able to figure out to do it? I've read some forum posts elsewhere that indicate the latest Rega reference belt slows the turntable down as compared to the previous belts. It's...

Rega Neo PSU - How much range of speed adjustment is there?

Thanks for the reply. Considering how small the steps are, it would have surprised me if it could cover more than a subtle range.

Rega Neo PSU - How much range of speed adjustment is there?

This question is only curiosity for me, but based on a real question from someone online elsewhere. Is the Rega Neo PSU’s range of adjustment subtle, like 1 or 2 percent? Or would the range be so broad that it could account for the difference between an American model of Planar 3 and the EU...

What Type of Computer Do You Use?

Behind the times, here, I suppose. Big PC tower with multiple hard drives, optical drives, 2 monitors. SPDIF out to two DACs.

question: how many here stream music?

I convert my CDs to FLAC files and store them on a hard drive, plus a backup. The quality is equal to CD. I also listen to Rhapsody on the internet. The quality there is a decent MP3. Both are connected from a computer to two systems - (1) a DAC and headphone amp and (2) a DAC and my primary...

How do you use your CD Player?

Although my primary source is my turntable, I like and use my CD player. I bought a new one within the past year and use it a little more than I did the player before it.

    Rega P9 mat

I have sometimes wondered if a Herbie's Way Excellent mat is a reasonable thing to use on a P9, or if it's counterproductive.

    Turntable advice needed please...

The Music Hall MMF-2.2 is similar to what the Pro-Ject 1.2 was. Not all that much has changed. I'd be surprised if good sound couldn't be coaxed out of it with fresh lubricant in the bearing well (if it feels like it needs it), a fresh belt, and a nice cartridge like a Nagaoka MP-110. Pro-Ject...
