    Cassette Deck.

I sold my Aiwa cassette deck a couple of years ago but haven't got round to selling my cassettes up to now. Mostly TDK SA90 / Maxell UDXLII. If you need some then please get in touch. There might even be a bit of half decent music left on them.

    Witch Hat Audio ceases trading

Just had my refund too. Through a s75 claim on the John Lewis Partnership mastercard. I'm pleased to see the cash again after 10 months, especially as JL have changed their credit card provider during that time! Earlier today, before I saw this refund on my credit card statement, I'd sent a...

    Witch Hat Audio ceases trading

Could anyone confirm that Witch Hat Servicing Limited has actually entered Administration or appointed an Insolvency Practitioner. Companies House doesn't show that they have. I could do with evidence to speed along my s75 refund for Spectres I paid for in September 2022. Thanks in advance.

    replacing driver surrounds

I've just had new foams off them for an old pair of Leak 3020's. Worth buying their glue as well, which is like a Tippex bottle (remember those?).

Vintage Radio Restoration... anybody familiar with it?

It's not that old if the STD code is 01903... the 1 was only added in April 1995.

[WTD] Bass/mid driver for Leak 3020 speaker

Anyone got any ideas where I might be able to get an 8" bass/mid driver for a Leak 3020 speaker from the 1980's? Seems the coil's blown. I've swapped the drivers in L&R and it's definitely the driver not the crossover or internal wiring. And the connection to the cone seems secure too. So...

    Commercial record cleaning?

I've bought a Spincare cleaner, but haven't used it yet, so I can't tell you. However, I would appreciate any suggestions from fellow pinkfishers on where to source distilled water at a half sensible price. Or whether deionised water (slightly cheaper) will do the job just as well? If so...

Best place to sell hifi gear

Facebook has worked for me too, especially the Naim Audio buy & sell group where there is often some interesting kit https://www.facebook.com/groups/924112311016682/

    Avondale, amazing amplifiers.

Don't forget the SPX. I had a couple of them straight from Les that powered my NAC82 more than adequately, until a bout of upgradeitis resulted in a 52/ps.

    Help replacing DAC chip?

MJS, interesting to read your post, which tells me this job is way beyond my level of tinkering. Any chance you might feel like taking on a rescue project?

Coronavirus - the new strain XII

Is this the report you were thinking of? https://www.imperial.ac.uk/mrc-global-infectious-disease-analysis/covid-19/report-9-impact-of-npis-on-covid-19/ This was etched in my memory, because it suggested a series of lockdowns would be needed to supress the level of infections on a recurring...
