Are there any online retailers who offer speaker cables to try at home ?

LK20 is more or less identical to Naca 4 and not unsimilar to Naca 5 in it's presentation. So: no surprise here. I am delighted to have discovered Kudos KS1 cable (also relatively cheap) which bettered several Nordosts, Naca 5, Audioquests tonally. Can really recommend them.

I found Audioquest 33/44/88 to be excellent – also to tame excessive treble. And I second the recommendation for futureshop, they also offer a 96hr burn-in-service for nada. Excellent telephone service as well if you are undecided about what is what.

    [FS] Naim NAC 282 preamplifier

No it can not. NAP 150 or 140 could power the 282 as well.

https://www.analog-forum.de/wbboard/cms/index.php?attachment/386862-img-5281-jpg/ ...Boazu warming up at this very moment. The dutch distributor was so nice to also supply Linn silver interconnects. It will have to stand up against Naim 202/200DR/Napsc. I will keep you posted.

My loaner Boazu will arrive tomorrow so I will write somthing up after the weekend guys – comparing it towards my 10yr old Naim 202/200DR/Napsc with Raven 1 and DV20X2 as the only source.

Where's my weak link, and where do I go from here?

You could buy a Hana EH (High Output) which would better the AT95 me thinks. On the other hand a decent phono pre like the small Moon is a good recommendation as is a better and bigger integrated – which would be the most expensive of these options.

...also NOT uninterested in this amp and will get one for demo next week (against naim 202/200dr/napsc). i just heard that a mk2 version is coming out in the next months – which won't be 3000k any more. @spanna which amp did it replace?

    Naim 202/200DR/Audionote J –– too much bass.

... one quick question: closing the backports of the speakers with dedicated foam plugs: what's the benefit? Good night!

    e) buy a SET amp :) PS. I do have other carts – Shelter 301, Denon 103... Problem remains. I know that it's a bit unlogical to tackle it from the cable side but when I put in the Rocket cable for a couple of days it was like the mess was ALMOST solved... That gave me a bit of hope :)

Thanks pfbaat – NAPSC is installed (for over 10 years I think). Kudos KS1 is on my demo list (as is Audio Note AN A and AB as well as Phonosophie and Atlas Hyper.) The one to beat is Audioquest Rocket 33. They also make a dedicated Naim configuration – also for Bi wiring imho. I will get new...

I don't find my approach so random :) The issue here is the room so I'll check that out but as I have to live with it I'll now look deeper into speaker cables and the interconnects... Thanks for your thoughts.

PS. The Moonriver 404 (ref.) looks very nice!

;) Regarding amps – this would be the natural choice: https://positive-feedback.com/reviews/hardware-reviews/audio-note-oto-phono-se-signature-integrated-amplifier/ But don't ask me if I like the looks :)

Thanks Moog – helpful as well. Thing is I am not really too free to move stuff around. Also the whole thing sounded pretty decent with the NAP140 in the system. Will have a look into the PEQ thing :=)

Thanks hifinutt – I do have the dedicated stands for the Js and some audioplan Antispikes beneath it. Also played around with room positioning. Was more concentrating on the amp / ls cable side of things...
