There’s plenty to choose from at that price range. I’d say go to a Concept 20 if you like q acoustics. Rega rs1 well within budget which are really good.

At work so can't see the link but good quality CRTs are the best way to play older retro games and consoles - flat panels just don't cut it or give the correct look. The retro games market has skyrocketed in the past year or so and so too has older TVs.

I use mass drop hd58x jubilees which are superb running from the phone. Much easier to drive than hd600 or 650s so much louder and now amp needed.

Some lovely almost mint Rega RS3s in piano black. I had these in Cherry, sold them 5 years ago and kept wanting them back and now happy as Larry - for now!
