    Component identification help

So I removed at one end. No markings at all and zero resistance, so I'm happy with the explanation that it is a link.

    Component identification help

Thanks for the replies. It does indeed have zero resistance at DC in situ but I’ll prise it off at one end to see if there’s any more info under there. I wasn’t aware of the zero ohm link but a quick DuckDuckGo explained it - makes sense.

    Component identification help

Hi all, Can anyone help me by identifying the type of component highlighted here: I'm reverse-engineering a circuit, an active crossover from a Meridian M30, and have captured everything else by inspection but this one I don't recognise. It is located in the feedback loop of both high and low...

How is the bearing held? I assume you pressed it out of the original sheet metal sub-chassis but is it screwed to the chassis?

Turntable motor pulleys, where to source

Thanks for all the offers! I need to do some calculations on what size would be best for whichever motor I decide on.

Turntable motor pulleys, where to source

Hi all, I'm starting to consider my winter project and I've decided to build a replacement motor for my Oracle Delphi - before it dies on me as they are wont to do. This will be the tried and trusted high speed DC motor in the manor of the Origin Live kits, but better integrated with the...

    Mundorf Mlytic & BHC Kemet

That was my first thought, but unfortunately it wouldn't work easily in this use case. The caps are mounted through a gap in chassis so it would need a couple of extenders (I was thinking Meccano 2-hole bars). However, if you think there is something dangerous with my chosen approach let me...

    Mundorf Mlytic & BHC Kemet

I’m in the middle of a similar change for one of my pairs of M30s, in this case 6800uF BHC for Mundorf. The replacements are 1cm smaller diameter so I’m going to put a piece of Neoprene foam gasket around the cap so it sits tight in the holder. I’m not expecting any issues with overheating...
