    Another TT bodge

I also have Thorens TD150 in not so good condition, collected cheap from someone. I already bought a wood to make a new plinth like LP12 plinth. Also looking to get a suitable tonearm for it. Is Rega RB300 suitable for this type of TT? Thanks

    Toroidy Transformer

Hi, During the old trafo, the top end was shouting at at face, so I reduced the tweeter level a bit to balance the sound. New Toroidy, same bass slam, but the top end now more quiet. So I raised back the tweeter a bit and the sound more snappy and clean. I don't know why but the whole...

0mv bias voltage after NAP 135 recapped

Have time during the weekend to compare all 3 pairs of 135s. They are sounding vey close to each other, the Nuvotem trafo and SM8927 o/p transistor one sound very2 similar. The Holden fisher with Kendeil caps sound slightly darker and more focus in bass. I will choose this pair but can live...

    NAIT 2 Recap & Service

In 2017 I bought a Olive Nait 2 at decent price (around GBP180). This amp never been switch ON since 1997, just sitting under someone bed collecting dust. Upon switched ON, the logo illuminate, but no 2nd pop sound. After investigation, it was the 47uf cap for the muting relay. Replaced that...

0mv bias voltage after NAP 135 recapped

I also tried Phoenix board, this has mix feeling in sound. I like the overall presentation, but like the naim original bass slam. Phoenix bass is fuller but lack of slam. Finally, the phoenix is now installed in it's own enclosure with diy pre-amp based on nac 42. phoenix 2 by Azman Mahmod, on...
