There are a few other native macOS music clients like collibri and pure music. But you’ll need to check if they support your version of macOS.
Big fan of LMS/Squeeze it gives more configurability and options like playing radio streaming, etc as well.
A few years ago, I moved most of my cds into cd wallets (and their cover art). You can still get those but if you have a lot of sleeves, looking at the box storage things can be a good way to organise, roughly shoe box size...
I have an original TT but go into a pre amp and use the balanced connections. I found it has less noise. I use siltec balanced and in the past have used Nordost red dawn (the old ones).
I have the low out version of the DV20 and had the Dino and never connected. Look at upgrading your phono stage, it should make a good difference. I went with an an audio note step up into and audion phono stage. But lots of options and work with a good dealer.
Turntables and arms and motors...
I’d agree with this approach, having done so recently. Adopted a Dynaudio active speaker set, a marantz/clearaudio turntable, and a bel canto phono stage - quite compact. I got a deal on all the components so glad it gelled.
active speakers are a good way to go.
I have an older pair of contour 1.3s. What rel subs are you using?
To the original poster, I acquired a pair of floor standing Xeo 6s and find them great and inline with the older contours. Great across the frequency range.
