Have now replaced the big capacitors and the voltage rails are measuring OK. replaced the TIP3055s and the ZTX753s! However still no joy on the left hand channel.
So I've been voltage checking between the channels and the service manual. Here are the problem areas but...
Looking for some quick hints for reapiring my SA60.....
It's the left channel thats causing me problems... Sounds very distorted (and possibly lacking in power). Not able to get any proper measurement off RV2 0.5mv I think.
Am I right in thinking the Left channel is Q21 etc and the right...

Well after a long hiatus I've managed to construct a link/loopback plug for the A60 AP and it is now playing sweetly away. Just like it was never in someones junk heap for the last 10 years! This is going to give me much pleasure.
However the SA60 I also picked up at the same time is in not...
Well here is the picture with what I presume is the daughter board.
Not tried to power this up yet.
Do you know what pins in a din plug should be joined to regain standard integrated function?

Also the caps look like they have...
At the local jumble sale today mine for £5 an A60 ser 27776. Together with an SA60 power amp Ser:0054.
The old owner has thoughtfully labelled the A60 as "left" and the SA60 as "right".
The speaker outputs have been labelled as HF and LF on both sets.
So I presume this is some sort of bi-amp...
