Can I check that this is tested and working? I ask because that tonearm realy doesn't look set right to me and the cut out to the side of the lid, surely that's not normal.

No I think you're mixing that up with a Russ Andrews demo day. An inveterate foot tapper (oddly only when his cables were in use) if ever there was one.

I've tried both the goldring 2500 & the 1042. For me the 1042 edges it. But both of those are beaten by the clearaudio aurum beta.

I have a query regarding the Mk 1 Phono box. Probably being stupid but I can't for the life of me see how to change between MM & MC. There's a diagram on the outside of the box showing what appears to be jumper positions. But when I open it up I can's see anything resembling jumper switches...

That's interesting, the only one I've seen is for a 5 point fixing. Which I assumed was for a different model Jelco 750d 3 point fixing. Do you fit the 750D onto the 5 point and if so what are the other 2 for. Any ideas?

So, from reading all these comments the conclusion is you can't fit a Jelco to Gyrodec. The Rega armboard is the wrong fit and the Linn is 211 distance rather than 214mm. I guess I'll stick to my SME 3009.
