I take it that you mostly listen to vinyl which sounds fine to you, but when you try listening to digital you get the digital haze or harshness. Is that correct ?

They already do make very good speakers. They will be supported for years to come unlike DSP speakers that will end up as an expensive door stop in a couple of years when the technology will be non supportable

It would be worth reading "Recording Studio Design" by Phillip Newall who knows what he is talking about when it comes time to put in the mains supply. Many "engineers" do not understand the need for large low impedance cables for the monitoring system. I followed the advice and it does actually...

One of the best things I have had is a dedicated supply for the Hifi and a balanced mains unit. I can listen any time of day or evening and it sounds as good as when I listened at 2-00 am.

All the decent recording studios run balanced mains transformers

I have got a Parker Knoll "Boston" manual recliner. it is not too tall and is fabric for minimal reflection. Comfortable as well, I am 6' 1" and can easily listen for 4 or 5 hours in one go without back or neck ache.

Belden 1694A is a good digital cable and not silly money either.

How big is your room ? Would you be able to use room treatment because if you can I would look at getting the 40A`s. My room is 10ft x 9ft 6" and with room treatment I have the 50A`s running fine in my room. I would rather treat the room passively instead of DSP, the shorter route to the...
