I thought this thread was about best cd player not best value for money..have also tried Wadia/DCs etc and the Vitus surpasses them too..

Best ive heard after numerous players including Naim/Micromega-Dacaopo,Leema,Opus etc is the Vitus Scd010..most analogue player ive heard by a mile so I bought one..stopped looking around since.

Have to agree with disbeliever though,I've never heard any Proac speaker that isn't bloated in the bass..but I do like Atc speakers so could be just my opinion!

I think personally the key to your decision is getting the speakers demo'd at home ,I have tried probably 30 sets of speakers on a variety of amps/ cables etc,and the defining factor to me has always been what works in your room..I have actually gone round in a full circle and started using neat...
