Christine McVie has died

Fleetwood Mac and Christine McVie's music meant so much to me from the 1970s to present day. I've seen them in concert in recent times, and thankfully the last time was with Christine performing with the band. Songbird will be going on the turntable later...

To an inspirational lady ,rest in peace.
We went to the same secondary school but a few years apart
On the anniversary of my mother's death too.

Sad news. Was at the O2 in 2013 when she came on stage - having never seen Fleetwood Mac it was a magical moment!

That's sad. She was so much of the Fleetwood Mac sound and you can hear the musical tone shifting in the albums before Rumours when she joins the group. Like others, I didn't know that she was as old as 79. RIP, I'll play some of her stuff later. Maybe Penguin, I love that album and nobody plays it.

there is a great box set that covers the music between the bluesy Pious Bird period and Rumours, though it criminally omits Penguin. It's only about £12 and really, really good.

So sad, but as said up above, what an amazing life.

Big fans in this house.. :(

So sad to hear this. Saw them all together 4/5 years back and she sounded amazing. Songbird moved me to tears. RIP.
