Seem as some people do take these so called "score" ratings seriously

…….fair point, I’ve scoffed at scores myself too and as someone recently pointed out, there have been loads of unfair reviews on some wonderful kit all low scored or low starred lol.
Back to the original Supernait; I regret letting it go. It was also a relative bargain new compared to where Naim are now. I also think the OP’s observation is valid too, seems to be a lot more going on internally with the first iteration. I know there was a dac in there but when you look at the toroidal, it’s windings, the component count and the fact it had a separate recording row of buttons too it was a very well featured integrated.
