Electric Masada, for the fifth night in succession. I haven’t got onto CD2 yet, I’m still gobsmacked by CD1. The pile of new CDs waiting to be heard has now risen to over a dozen - tough, they’ll have to wait a bit longer. There doesn’t seem to be much point in listening to anything else until I’ve fully assimilated this. The last time I felt like that was when I first heard Mingus’ Cornell ‘64.

...and I’ve found this, which I have been watching this morning. Poorish quality from a phone recording, but great to see the group interaction (I like the way the drummers lock eyes during the twiddliest bits!) Wish I’d been there...

I'd never heard of the singer on it , Abbey Lincoln, she is superb, as is the whole thing
