hi - I know the background but I do not know the prices well. Some are selling for thousands SH and others are for hundreds. Are the quartz versions much cheaper? I presume the snowflake is the most desirable?
 
AFAIK, quartz movements will be the cheapest. But I don't see the point of an expensive quartz watch.

I do like the appeal of Spring Drive, but can't get past the idea it's another electronically regulated watch powered by a mechanical movement.

The retro one's are by far the classiest, I have a Seiko Presage 'Cocktail' a cheapy at £400, but it looks great.
