Lovely kit. The Sintras will go beautifully with it.
The aluminium mounting hardware suggests that it could have started out as AT95E.It likely was a Basik originally, both the same budget AT body, the Linn version costing more and having a worse stylus! You have an AT95E stylus fitted.
It looks like the later one piece counterweight, only pushed on backwards. The counter weight seems wrong, which is interesting. Was there an extra inertia option available back in those days? I know the original spec was two part, then to a single piece, but it didn't look like this one.
You need to flip the case round the right way on the 62. Chrome bumpers need to be seen. It is the law.
PS I’d top that lot off with Kan IIs.
Never ever use a weight on a Linn platter.
The photo doesn't reveal the other bevel. But probably. It looks like the later one piece counterweight, only pushed on backwards.
Why it is there is most odd given the Valhalla can’t play 45s!
It can with the 45rpm collet that goes over the motor pulley.
Assuming you could be bothered! I had one back when I had an LP12 and used it very infrequently.
Funny, as soon as I saw the picture I could almost hear the sound of the faithful sharpening their pitchforks…
My love of the 12" single meant mine was used quite a bit.
So what would a spherical earth system be? (asking for a friend!)
