Recommended movies etc on Netflix/Amazon Prime III

Alice in Borderland on Netflix, three episodes in and thoroughly enjoying it.
A brutal Fantasy set in a deserted Tokyo in the vein of battle royale. Great.

I found an Icelandic curiosity called Katla.
It has atmosphere and an unusual plot set in an active volcano location.
Unfortunately, on the service I use, the last 3 of 8 episodes do not have subtitles so I've been left in limbo on the explanation of the happenings.

cj66 - I watched the whole of Katla (on Netflix). Doesn't get any less odd, doesn't really resolve. But enjoyable enough.

Disney + have an offer on at the mo for £1.99 till 14th Nov. The Beatles - Get Back is showing from the 25th. And Ridley Scott's - The Last Duel is on from early December. The book upon which it is based is currently .99p for the Kindle edition. Bargain.

Finished Series 3 of ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, a mockumentary about Vampire’s, all three series have been brilliant, so much so I’m starting over again on Series 1 straight away, just watched the pilot episode and it’s class right from the off.

(NB. Episodes are only 22-24 minutes long (all on BBC IPlayer now) so can bat* them out pretty quick).

Dexter is back! I hope they can exorcise the risible previous series ending.

In the meantime I have really enjoyed 'You' which is Dexter Lite in its own way.
Never seen Dexter but we've loved the 3 series of You.
Going to have to investigate, cheers:)

Correction re the length of the episodes, they can be as low as 19 minutes.

'Maid' on Netflix. Young mum tries to escape escalating abuse and build a new life for herself and her daughter. Brilliant drama that never descends into poverty porn or sentimentality.

“Bat!” Brilliant series. I prefer it to the original film too, for what little that’s worth!

“F*cking Guy!”

(First time I’ve watched a series, well, 3 of them, twice back to back, I’m picking up little things I missed first time round, I love it!).
