I’m trying to temper my enthusiasm, after being disappointed with all the films that followed Casino Royale. It’s almost three hours long so take a cushion .
Couldn’t disagree more, I find that most movies today are at least 2 hours.Enjoyed Skyfall, agree DC is my favourite Bond. There was a time when a 3 hour movie was a lavish treat, and 2 hours was short. Now we seem not to want to invest the time and 90 minutes is ‘feature length’. Personally, I’m happy to go and be entertained for 3 hours. I’d like to see it on the big screen. Will probably manage to go, soon.
I disagree. The different actors have all stamped their own interpretations on the role, for good or ill, which does suggest it requires more than just a ‘blank face’. Roger Moore’s style couldn’t be more different to Daniel Craig’s, for example. I enjoyed them both, but for different reasons and they made for very different movies.Who plays Bond isn't that important, I think. What's mostly needed is just a blank face to plaster ones own expectations on. Ok, he should be able to carry a tuxedo
But someone with Craig's look would do better as a villain. Blofeld or Drax.
