The Necks, Mosquito - I think this is my most played record in any format. It sounds beautiful and I never tire of it.

Been tidying up some vinyl rips, so a bit of a mixed bag:

A Guy Called Gerald - Trip City
Simply Red - Thrill Me (Underworld mixes, the 14 minute instrumental is a peach)
Groop - Moonbase Alpha
Howie B - Hey Jack (the UNKLE mix is a stormer)
Hint - Count Your Blessing (lovely reworks from both Bonobo and Minotaur Shock)

Kinnell, ripping vinyl is a proper ballache.

Gaudier Ensemble - Schubert- Octet - cd ripped to Naim unitiserve. Fancied something more calming than my usual menu of Americana etc….

Found this in some singles that have been donated.

When I was very young I had this on a 1957 78 shellac, which isn’t listed on Discogs I notice.
My damn brother broke it.
Really pleased to come across a reissue on 7”.

Both tunes still crack me up.

In COMPLETE contrast to Schubert’s Octet ( see above ) - just been blasting Ian McNabb’s Head Like a Rock recorded with Neil Young’s Crazy Horse bass and drums adding their heft - great guitar sound - sounds played live in the studio - wasn’t a hit but probably too retro for when it came out ( 1995 ).
