Whisky II

Prompted by the mention of Wright's in Skipton, have we had a list of good shops for whisky?
I nominate Byrne's in Clitheroe https://dbyrne-finewines.co.uk/ They are not in the amazing Aladdin's Cave shop at the moment as it is too tight to be covid safe but are working out of their warehouse, also a great building. Anyway they have a fine range of whiskies (wines, beers etc) and know their stuff.

My Glen Scotia 15 is gone and my Mannochmore 12 is on its last legs.

Plenty Seaweed and Aeons left but its more a winter drink.

Time to look for something new or I may have to hit the Hine Rare.

The decanter has run dry...

I need recommendations please folks...

£25/£30 max, non peated please.

Any Scotch, no Irish ta. Blended or single malt.

Not arsed if its chill filtered etc

:D

Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair is one very good option if you can find it discounted to under £30 (which it often is).

Any more suggestions?
Not within that budget, but from my experience the really worthwhile stuff starts at £40ish. Kilkerran 12 and Clynelish 14 standouts for me. Springbank also a favourite distillery, such a unique flavour profile. Cheaper stuff...Arran distillery, plenty interesting nas? At £30 my money would be going on bourbon

As said; it's a decanter filler, so don't want to spend daft money on it

I've already got a decent single malt line up with plenty of peat monsters in there; just want a simple dram for every day suppin'

Not interested in Bourbon thanks

I quite like Balvenie Doublewood for those sort of duties. Not had it for a while, but remember enjoying it when I last drank it.

Edit: a bit over budget though, sorry, thought it was a bit less than that.
