Almost ashamed to say I'd never heard that album until reading your post.
Looks like I'm going to be well occupied discovering REM's earlier works as my small collection starts with 'Out Of Time'.
 
Volume 2 of a series of my music that I have been working towards releasing (Vol 1 mentioned elsewhere in this forum). Vol 1 was melodic downtempo, Vol 2 is some sort of house music (and Vol 3, which is also ready to go, is noise and drone so...*shrug*).

I think it's ready to go, just need to pick a release date and upload.

There is a view that that is where the good stuff ends ;)

Although I'm now playing this which I love as it sound tracked a very important period in my romantic life - one of those records you love despite knowing full well its not one of an artist's best
