Sugden MusicMaster

VERY difficult to value as they never come up for sale and, from what little chatter there is online, including PFM, the name gets misapplied (though not in this case as there is a shot of the label).

They APPEAR to be stereo versions of the monoblock Master Class series.

Would be good to hear from @Arkless Electronics if he is familiar with this amp'.

No. But would service it yes.

14 days approval offered. One thing I think about amps is this: exceptional ones are rare, especially serviceable ones, and if this is exceptional, a price of around £1.5K with the opportunity to return (and compare with an A21!) is not bad at all. That being said, I'm not in the market for an amp.

I've had my Musicmaster since 2005, used with my Proac 1sc and now with my Heco Direkt, can't seem me changing unless I can afford some Puresound Monos or a SJS Arcadia one off special to my specs... The Musicmaster is stunning within its power output.

Heard these at definitive who where trying them out, in end I think Kevin sold a21a as he thought more engaging and cheaper.

Never heard anything from Sugden that wasn’t good but the A21 is definitely a sweet spot for me, no matter the year or version.

I'm using 16 WPC class A from my latest design power amp with my Spendor BC2's and plenty of power here.
Sounds good........
A few questions here :
Do you know the efficiency of these Spendor ?
And more importantly, when will you commercialise this class A amplifier and make a 115 volts version for us in North America ? o_O

About 87dB/W ish IIRC. Pretty average efficiency anyway.

Quite possibly never. If I did then 115V no problem but the fact that there would be zero chance of hearing it before buying no doubt would be a problem!
