It’s the same rhetoric deployed by the white, British right wing- that they are now the victims of racism, that they are being bullied into silence by BLM etc. Their enablers like Julia Heartless Brewer say quite literally that they support Millwall fans right to jeer footballers taking the knee at matches. Their culture is being diluted/disrespected / taken away from them.

Agree in reality that is the way it has always been. Time rolls on but attitudes and expectations remain the same. The entitled Tories and establishment in the UK and NI use the down trodden to 'fight' the ugly battles to retain the status quo.

Ah - the (in)famous Orange Card - tried and trusted MP of the Conservative / Unionist ruling types for the last 100 years. Not sure how it's going to play out now that the UK Tories have decided there's no mileage left in it or indeed NI for them any more.
 
The DUP did everything in their power to stop the Good Friday Agreement, tried to drown it at birth and have subsequently used periodic threats to bring down power sharing. The horrible irony for them is that the Tory Party they have so much in common with, not least the Precious Union, stabbed them in the back and discarded them and now her own party has done the same to Foster.

I’d often seen Foster as Eugene Terreblanche with a rinse but behind her are even worse recidivists looking to turn the clock back and use force to get their way.

Emm I can't like that post but there is Dup reality staring out from that photo. The Brave new future of Brexit and free ports.
 
The DUP is haemorrhaging support, and this could accelerate it. While he will appeal to the old Free Presbyterian hard-liners, a lot of less hard-line supporters could be put off by him and his antediluvian attitudes. I'd imagine that Sinn Féin must be rather happy at this.
 
He thanked God for his health – he was recently treated for cancer

Presumably he will also blame invisible sky daddy if the disease returns...

Poots will accelerate things one way or the other, so depending on what you're hoping for, it could be very good :)

Boris Johnson tweeted his congratulations to Poots upon confirmation of the result, saying: “People across the UK are best served when we work together, & I look forward to working with him, Brandon Lewis [Northern Ireland secretary] & the wider executive as we build back stronger for the people of Northern Ireland.”

Build stronger what ffs - and what's with the 'back' ??
For a supposedly classically trained Oxbridge type - he doesn't 'arf script some bolox :)

But you can just picture the scene, Carrie has ordered take out from the local restaurant and BJ is just about to put on his bib when he has to cobble together something quickly on the back of a hankie before tucking in.
 
Mr.Poots is a man Mr.Johnson can do business with. Whether anyone else can is another matter. Mr.Poots will part the Irish Sea and set his people free.
