Curious to know the origin of your hifi. In the poll can you add per item eg if 3 bits are from the UK vote 3 times for UK. Hope this works! Include cables if known.
I think I’d be reluctant going forward to buy gear from the EU unless there’s a strong UK distributor - too much hassle if something has to be returned for repair....

im not sure this is going to work as I can’t seem to do multiple votes.....

I assume the Cambridge Audio DAC/pre is UK built, as is the Sony DVD. Quad Studio monitors - don't know.

It has never been something I fret about.

EU is no different to the ROW, since Jan 1st. Besides, where a brand is registered means nowt.

I voted UK as most of it is that - in terms of cost, maybe 80%. Otherwise, Denmark, Germany, USA and Japan, in no particular order.

Amp -EU. Speakers - USA . Preamp - USA CD player - USA Turntable - EU. Cables mostly USA. Headamp - USA Cd transport - Canada.

Mostly European stuff, because you can always find parts.
How about a transformer for a 45 year-old Quad amp?

Manly UK (vintage Quad, Leak, Tannoy, SME, JR, plus Rega, DPA, Audio Synthesis, Spendor, Falcon). Switzerland (vintage Thorens). France (Verdier). Japan (Marantz, Nagaoka, plus vintage Sony, Akai, Technics). Netherlands (Van den Hull). USA (VPI). Germany (Ortofon).

FWIW I consciously try to avoid China as far as audio goes as it is a dictatorship and very far from green, but my TV system Cambridge Blu-Ray is made there (as I assume is the Sony TV), plus there’s another Cambridge CD player in the spares pile.

Technics SL-1200G (Japan)
Audio Technica VM-540ML (Japan)
Quad 99 CDP-2 (UK or China, not sure)

Solidsteel SS7 speaker stands (Italy)

Listing this, I think I have a problem with too much stuff but at least I'm open minded about where it comes from ;)
