... took a walk around a couple of Lincolnshire's many reclaimed gravel pits today - first time back here since March - very quiet on the pond:

About half way, the better half was taking pics of a dragon fly on some brambles - it decided to find out what was going on ....

Oh that's great - where-at, chap?
Thanks, M. I took a spin up to Kemble again today. I went up a couple of Sunday’s ago but it was shut to the public. Now only open Tues->Sat. Spotted 13 recently retired 747s parked up - most now engine-less. Damned COVID-19!

@stevied

Wah! couldn't you grab a spare engine for, say, combo leafblower & BBQ duties - or where the Duke's panniers already full..?

I am disappoint; a JT9D would fit just fine all over the top of the Fisher Fury...

Curious....what do they call this position?:cool: They seem to be drawing a heart-shaped geometry. But I suspect that the white one is not in a good position to survive post coitus.

Haha! I think dragonflies/damselflies prefer that position, however, they do it in every way they like.

Great picture, what kit did you use?

***Pedant Alert*** and trying to see if I retained some knowledge from many years ago but are they Dameslfiles? I "think" the Dragonfly holds its wings out rather than folded as above ?
