Your amp history...

begins with old s/hand odds and sods
but first proper amp was NAD something or other
Marantz PM57
Rega Brio (now the sound was getting somewhere)
Naim Nait 3 (never really got on with it --hence the next crazy move)
Naim Nac 82 and 180
Naim 82 HC and 180 (realised power supplies are what makes the amps tick)
82 HC and 250 (big improvement on the 180)
82/HC and chrome bumper 135s (fantastic sound)
but then sold it all due to cash flow and part disillusioned naim fever.

back with Dynavector L200 and HX1.2. Great sound but different
Kept HX 1.2 for a while and discovered a 52/HX1.2 combo - fantastic!
saw a 4 x135s active system for bargain price and realised how good the 52 really is - so back on the naim trip for a bit !
Sold most of it again due to cash issues

Discovered Avondale:
Grad 1 / 135's - very good combo
Discovered ECS EA2 (aka Mana stealth) Liked it with the Grad 1
Grad 1 / APX4/ECS EA2 beautiful sound
Grad1/TPX1 improved on the APX 4 (better bass and flow)
Grad1/TPX1/ Avondale M2 monoblocks. blew the ECs away and haven't looked back since. Perfect synergy, musicality and effortless control.

They are great fun to listen to and it's reminded me of why I brought them in the first place :D
I would hang on to that wakonda/lk140 for a little while if you can, you might miss it! highly musical combo !!!

Time to down size for me.
The Wakonda ,LK 140 and the Keilidhs that I had made a good sound but the need for space took over.

More brand loyalty:
1971: honestly can't remember what I had as a student
1974: Leak 2000 tuner/amp (first hifi paid for from a salary)
1979: Naim 12S/120
1981: added SNAPS
1986: replaced 120 with 160
1987: replaced 12S/SNAPS with 32.5/HiCap
1988: bought 250, and used it and the 160 one channel each – it worked
1998: went active: initially 32.5/HiCap/SNAXO36/HiCap/160/2x250
1998: quickly replaced 32.5 with 102; quickly replaced that with 82
1998: added second HiCap to 82
1999: added Linto
2000: replaced 160 with third 250
2006: replaced 82/2xHiCap with 52/SuperCap
2009: added second Linto.
So currently, using two Lintos into 52/SuperCap, SNAXO36/HiCap, 3x250s.
The 82/HiCap/160 is in the lounge supporting the DVD player.
The 32.5/HiCap/120 is in my office system supporting a NAT01.
The SNAPS is powering a NAT101 in the main system. Only the 12S has been honourably retired.

1976 - Scott A316 (decent, but what did I know)
1980 - QUAD 33/303 (lovely, but needed more power to drive big speakers)
1983 - Luxman SQ507-X (nice amp, powerful, soft and musical)
1988 - Harman Kardon PM645vxi (dy-na-mics! - not very musical alas)
1991 - Cyrus One (fast and boppy, no bass)
1993 - Arcam Delta 290 (slow and warm, no fun)
1996 - Naim Nait 3 (very, very nice amp that I loved to bits, until...)
2004 - Naim Nait Two (sorted!)

1987 - Technics SU-V460 (OK with the Mission 70s but a bit duff with the Tannoy 607s)
1989 - Arcam Alpha 3 (Not the last word in detailed)
1992 - Aura VA100 (More detail, good bass)
1999 - Aura VA100 Mk II (More detailed, better bass extension - If it hadn't died on me, I would still have this)
2001 - Audiolab 8000a (Not quite as good as the Aura but for £175 it did a good job for a few years)
2009 - Meridian 568 / 557 (Showed me what I was missing - would like ot think I don't need any more upgrades but hey! A NAP250 might be better)

1980 Marantz PM-310
1983 Crimson 610/620
1984 Albarry Pre/ Crimson 620
1987 Pink Triangle Pip II/ HFA 12 (Edison 12 from Hi-Fi Answers)
2000 Pink Triangle Pip II / Vocale SET (still used)
2002 Pink Triangle Pip II / Pass Aleph 3

AIWA CRAPO (? Model)
QED A240
Mission Cyrus I
Naim 62/110 (Chrome bumper)
Avondaled Naim 42 / TPX1 / S100 (fabulous!)

1972 - a self built kit don't remember its name
1974 - a self built kit SG
1975 - a NIKKO amp
1977 - LUXMAN I sold it to a friend and I think that this one still works
1980 - SANSUI a piece of shit
1985 - QED this was a good one and made me believe in MADE IN GB ...
1992 - NAIT 2
1997 - NAIT 3
1998 - 72/140
2000 - 102/140
2003 - 32.5 90/1
2005 - 102/140
2006 - 102/HICAP/180
2008 - 82 2XHICAP 250
2009 - 82 1xHICAP 250 one HICAP powers the prefix

Many amps, I guess that it means that I'm too old ...

Arye

1975 - Dynaco SCA-80Q int. amp kit
1976 - Kenwood KA-7300 int. amp
1978 - Dynaco Stereo-70, my first tube amp, 35W/per, EL34

1984 - Dynaco MkIII mono pair, 60W KT88

mid-1980s - Dynaco Stereo-35, 17.5W/per, EL84 flea power

Since then I've collected a number of other Dyna amps and preamps as spares, or to start over when modifications on one went too far. To be honest I can't recall the provenance of the Dyna PAS2 preamp or Stereo-70 amp presently in use.
