Love it. I think it's a refreshing departure, but still with Mike Scott's songwriting genius. Very intimate portraits of love and memories...

It's just getting better and better with each listen. Even though it's a departure in sound - a lot more soulful and funky - the songs are some of the best he's ever written, I think...

I must say that Brother Paul's Hammond playing on this album is superb. Especially on The Memphis Fox

Yes, I agree - he really grooves. And the Dublin Soul Choir are a great touch.

Growing on me here too, can't help but hear Bono in some of the phrasing in a few tracks (not necessarily a bad thing in my book).

A bit "Dream Harder" also (not necessarily a good thing).

Will keep listening.
