looks like a nice maestro wood you have there, whaddya think of it?

I don't have anything to compare it to, as it is all I have ever known (apart from an old Sony TT in the 80's), as it came with the TT and arm as a package from the dealer. Sounds good to me, tracks well, but is very delicate. Now it sounds a little better with the pre-amp added, so I'm happy.:)


A Cube reissue of Electric Warrior! Fine taste indeed.

A butcher block chopping board from the local kitchen centre. Not sure about any sonic differences but it looks better than the cheap MDF thing supplied.
 
Ahh. I thought the Horizon came with the faux-marble thing like the Spacedeck.

No it comes with a fairly thin plinth that sits on hard rubber feet.

The chopping block is on some or those adhesive felt disks you get to put under furniture legs on wooden floors.
