I used to have a pair of Rogers floor standing monitors that never made it into production.
Jim said it would of cost too much to produce them at the time.
They were lovely sounding speakers.
I kept them for years until 83.
Having your speakers 3' out from both back and side walls is acoustically equivalent to having them positioned within the room corners; resulting in a 3dB x 2 gain at any low Fq with a wavelength or half wavelength that is near 3' in length and/or a multiple thereof.
Should the acoustic centers of the bass drivers also be positioned 3' above the floor on stands then you are into 3dB x 3 gain territory.
