Enjoyable day at RIAT yesterday. Opened by the Red Arrows (7 aircraft team) with a Boeing Poseidon MRA1 and closed by the spectacular Republic of Korea 53rd Air Demonstration Group.
Plenty in between, including a Spitfire Mk XIX PR as flown by my late father when CO of RAF II(AC) Squadron in 1950 at Gutersloh, when converting them to Meteors. An emotional moment.
